Cedar Ridge Arabians and the Ames Family have been dedicated to breeding Arabian horses for over 45 years. Their love for beautiful, athletic horses, has led them to breed regional and national winners in the breeding in-hand, saddle seat, western pleasure and working western disciplines. Year in and year out, Cedar Ridge Arabians is one of the top overall breeders in North America, with on average, 30 babies born a year.
The world-renowned horse farm in Jordan, Minnesota is an easy 45-minute drive from Minneapolis. Generations of Cedar Ridge-bred champions have validated their breeding choices and selection criteria, turning the beautiful, eminently functional Cedar Ridge Farm into a full-service training and marketing facility, where they, and other Arabian aficionados, enjoy Arabian horses. Cedar Ridge's Arabians and Half-Arabians, and their many satisfied customers, have become familiar household names. This kind of all-around success has transformed the Cedar Ridge name into an industry talisman.
In addition, their active, hands-on support of many other facets of the Arabian horse industry by participating in horse shows across the country, and serving on the boards and committees of numerous Arabian horse-related organizations typifies the Ames family’s public and private contributions to the breed they love. Giving back, supporting activities and encouraging youth and adult involvement with Arabians and Half-Arabians through their lesson programs are cornerstones of Cedar Ridge Arabians.
